Infrared receivers generally have three pins, namely the positive pole of the VCC power supply, the negative pole of the GND power supply and the OUT output terminal. The infrared receiver has many shapes, namely patch type, plug-in type, nose bridge type, straw hat type, cylindrical type, hemispherical type and so on.

   There are two types of infrared receiver packages on the market now, one with an iron case and the other with epoxy resin.

  Use epoxy resin encapsulation, iron shell infrared receiver can effectively prevent electromagnetic interference, so that the integrated infrared remote control receiver can be used in strong electromagnetic interference environment.

   There are many types of infrared receivers used in household appliances with remote control functions. During the maintenance process, it is often encountered that prototype receivers cannot be purchased, and only replacements are found. In fact, no matter what type of receiving head it is, it can be replaced by a normal model.

  Signal polarity: The polarity of the output signal of most remote control receivers is negative, that is, the output terminal is at a high potential when there is no signal, and the voltage at the signal output terminal decreases after receiving the signal. However, there are a few receivers whose output signal is positive. If you directly replace the receiver of a normal model, the remote control is not possible. In this case, you can add an inverter to the signal output to solve it.

  The reason why the infrared receiver is packaged with black epoxy resin is because it filters out white light, because indoors, if the wall is white, the infrared receiver basically has no direction in the space within 15 meters. Under what circumstances will the information received by the infrared receiver be affected?

   1. Strong light irradiates the receiving head directly to saturate the photosensitive tube. The infrared component is also very strong under white light.

   2. Strong infrared heat source.

   3. There are flash lights, such as fluorescent lights.

   4. Strong electromagnetic interference, such as fluorescent lamp start, motor start, etc.
