Tunnel lighting control method

Tunnel lighting can improve the road conditions in the tunnel, improve the visual enjoyment in the tunnel, reduce driver fatigue, and help improve the tunnel capacity and ensure traffic safety.

The implementation of the tunnel lighting control scheme relies on the support of advanced control technology and control methods.

 

There are several ways to control tunnel lighting:

Manual control method. It means that the tunnel management personnel manually select the control plan according to parameters such as the brightness outside the tunnel and the traffic volume. Specifically, it is based on changes in factors such as the brightness (S) outside the cave, traffic volume, average vehicle speed, and weather conditions. The road tunnel managers manually control the on/off of the lighting circuit or steplessly adjust the brightness of the lighting, which can be subdivided into remote manual control mode and local manual control mode. In the early days, local manual control methods were mostly used for road tunnels with short length and simple operation and management.

Automatic control mode. It means that the lighting control system automatically adjusts the lighting brightness according to real-time collected parameters such as the brightness outside the cave and traffic volume.

The automatic control of tunnel lighting uses the relevant lighting control parameters collected by light intensity detectors, vehicle detectors, etc., and electronic equipment directly controls the on/off of the lighting circuit or steplessly adjusts the lighting brightness, without manual participation in the control process. It can be subdivided into remote automatic control mode and local automatic control mode.

In the automatic control mode, the tunnel lighting control system can automatically adjust the lighting control parameters in the tunnel such as the external brightness (S), traffic volume, average speed and other lighting control parameters collected by the H inch of the tunnel; the tunnel management personnel can also manage according to the actual operation. In case, switch from automatic control mode to manual control mode and change to manual operation.

 

Intelligent control mode. It is based on the automatic control method, adopts short-term traffic flow prediction theory, applies artificial intelligence, home system, fuzzy control, neural network, genetic algorithm and other intelligent control technologies, and performs dynamics according to the curve of decreasing brightness of highway tunnel lighting. Dimming control to achieve safe, comfortable, efficient and economical lighting effects. This method focuses on the characteristics of energy-saving control, reflects the requirements of green lighting, and pursues the ideal of "on-demand lighting". With the improvement of industrial automation level and the development of lighting sources and the improvement of lighting lamps, intelligent control methods will be more widely used.
