Infrared emission and receiving methods and applicable places

Infrared emitting tube (IRLED), also known as infrared emitting diode, belongs to the category of diodes. It is a type that can directly transfer electrical energy to convert electrical energy into near-infrared light (invisible light), and can radiate. It is mainly used for various photoelectric switches, touch screens and remote control transmitter circuits. Its structure and principle are similar to general light-emitting diodes, but the semiconductor materials are different. Generally, gallium arsenide (GaAs), gallium aluminum arsenide (GaAlAs) and other materials are used, and they are packaged in transparent or light blue and black resin.

   There are two ways to transmit and receive infrared rays: direct and reflective. The direct type means that the luminous tube and the receiving tube are placed opposite to the two ends of the transmitting and controlled object, and the reflective type with a certain distance in the middle means that the luminous tube and the receiving tube are arranged side by side. There is always no light in the receiving tube, and the infrared ray emitted by the luminous tube When encountering a reflective object, the receiving tube can receive the reflected infrared rays. The dual-tube infrared emission circuit can increase the emission power and increase the range of infrared emission.

   According to the characteristics of the infrared emitting tube chip, it can be more widely used according to the different wavelengths, such as:

  Wavelength: 940nm, suitable for remote controls such as household appliances;

  Wavelength: 808nm, suitable for medical equipment, space optical communication, infrared lighting, solid laser pump source;

  Wavelength: 830nm, suitable for highway automatic card system (night vision system is better, the tube core is slightly red, the effect is better than 850nm);

  Wavelength: 840nm, suitable for changing the color of the camera to infrared and waterproof;

  Wavelength: 850nm, suitable for camera (video shooting) digital photography, monitoring, building intercom, anti-theft alarm, infrared waterproof;

  Wavelength: 870nm, suitable for cameras in shopping malls and intersections.
