Garden landscape lighting design skills

time:2021-03-19 Views:266

The object of garden lighting is different from indoor lighting and architectural environment lighting. Its main purpose is to enhance the effect of scenery and create a night landscape. Therefore, in terms of the type of light source, a light source with better direction and control ability should be selected as much as possible, and the use of ordinary floodlighting lamps should be reduced.

The lighting requirements of different positions in the garden are quite different. In order to show the beautiful shapes of the buildings, sculptures, flowers, trees, mountains and rocks in the garden, the lighting method should be different from the scene, and the projection light should also be used according to the needs. The strength is changed to show their respective charms at night; the street lights on both sides of the park road should have uniform and continuous illumination to meet the needs of safety.

In order to make the small space appear bigger, you can only illuminate the necessary part and put the rest in the shadow; for the large outdoor space, the treatment method is the opposite, which will make the large space feel a kind of intimacy.

Outdoor lighting should use the dimmer on the light source carefully. In most garden lights that use incandescent lamps as the light source, the use of dimmers will make the light yellowish and cast a layer of yellow on the illuminated objects. Especially for plants, it will show a morbid state and lose the original vitality.

It is also best to use color filters or color LEDs sparingly, because the light projected by them will produce a sense of distortion, which will cause some kind of unreality to plants. Of course, the sky blue filter is an exception. It can eliminate the yellow tint in the incandescent lamp and turn the light into a pleasant blue-white light. A small filter or other accessories can make a huge change in the entire landscape, which requires constant attention in the design.

The brightness of the light should be determined according to the needs of the activity and to ensure safety. Too bright or too dark will cause discomfort to visitors, and the lighting design should pay special attention to glare. Hiding the lamps in the flowers and trees can provide the necessary lighting without causing glare.

To determine the lighting range of the light, it is necessary to consider the position of the luminaire, that is, the height, angle and light distribution of the luminaire. The size, brightness and darkness of the shadow formed during lighting must be coordinated with the environment and atmosphere, so as to facilitate the use of light and shadow to set off nature and create The scene and atmosphere. All of these should be carefully observed in the surrounding space during the day, and through calculation and adjustment to determine the best landscape lighting effect.
